Chinese envoy, CM Buzdar discuss CPEC, bilateral relations

Lahore: Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar to discuss China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and mutual interest on Thursday.

Mutual interests, Chinese investment, ongoing development projects, cooperation in new sectors and various other areas of interest were discussed during the meeting.

While talking to Chinese delegation , Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that he wants to take leverage of the Chinese expertise n agriculture and farming sector.

He offered China’s business community the opportunities for investment in Pakistan.

Chinese delegation also appreciated the performance of Punjab government and mentioned that special economic zones that are made in Pakistan is an impressive step to support flinching economy.

He said, ”China stands shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan in its journey of progress and prosperity.”

Previously, Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan, said on October 25 that Chinese investment in Punjab would be warmly welcomed by the elite Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
