CJP seeks Central Development Authority report regarding Bani Gala encroachment case

Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mian Saqib Nisar while hearing Bani Gala encroachment case on Tuesday, questioned Capital Development Authority regarding the steps taken in this case. 

“What’s the position of CDA at the moment”, the CJP inquired during the hearing.

The chairman of the Central Department Authority told judge that he is receiving 100s of applications on daily basis and the process of regularization is underway.

Additional Attorney General, Nayyar Rizvi is removed from this case, informed Chief Justice of Pakistan. He further remarked that anyone who tries to stand up against justice is immediately either removed or thrown out.

During the case hearing in mid-November Additional Attorney presented the report on behalf OF CDA. According to which the ma only approved four roads but the plan was amended by the then authorities in 1960 and 2010. He also revealed that Imran Khan’s residence came under Zone 3 and 4 and there is no proper drainage system built, which is a clear breaking of safety rules.

When the encroachment cases begin it was ordered that 65 person including Premier Khan to regularise their properties.
