CNG association will stage protest on Wednesday (tomorrow) in Karachi as the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced to stop of gas supply to CNG stations across Sindh for indefinite period.
SSGC spokesperson told today that SSG has discontinued the supply for an indefinite period of time due to technical faults in fields. They added that gas supply will also be suspended for the industrial units run by the power plants in Karachi for three months.
“Steps are underway to restore gas supply for commercial and domestic consumers with full pressure,” Sui Southern Gas Company .
On the other hand, CNG station owners have announced to stage protest outside the SSGC office against the supply. “The repeated gas supply disruption has badly affected our business,” CNG leaders association said this during media briefing.
Business community leader Siraj Qasim Teli said that this decision of halting gas is effecting our business and despite the promise from Prime minister Imran Khan the gas is stopped. It’s already been three months, according to notifications issued by SSGC.
He requested Prime Minister Imran Khan to take strict actions in this regard and restore the supply of gas to industrial units.
