Cold spell to persist for next 24 hours

Karachi:  The ongoing dry and cold weather is likely to persist in the metropolitan city for almost next 24 hours.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department the minimum temperature of the city Karachi was measured to be  12 degrees Celsius on Monday morning, while the humidity level in the air founded to be 50 per cent.

The Continental air is likely to prevail the whole city during next few hours according to weather department.

Cold and dry weather is not only expected to prevail in metropolitan city but it is likely to be prevailed across the country.  During morning hours frost will be seen in the North and central Punjab and snowfall is expected in northern areas of Pakistan.

The minimum temperature recorded in the country was –11°C in Skardu, -09°C in Astore and Gupis, while Kalam iced-up with -08°C, Quetta-07°C, Kalat -06°C, Bagrote-05°C and Gilgit, Dir-04°C.
