Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday fixed the petition of convicted Nawaz to hear his appeal that challenged the conviction as well as request for bail in Al-Azizia Steel Mills case.
The registrar office of the Islamabad High Court informed that hearing for this appeal is scheduled on January 21. The two member bench comprising of Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiani and Justice Amir Farooq will hear the case.
Earlier on January 8, IHC had told that petition filed by Nawaz requesting for his bail in the Al-Azizia reference will be heard with his appeal that challenged the top Court’s verdict, but the date was not yet specified.
Sharif first filed an appeal in IHC and later he put up a petition for his bail until the final verdict comes out. The legal counsel of former PM sought the bail of his client and requested the court to hear the bail plea separately.
However, it was said by the court that bail pleas will be heard along with the court appeal petition.
Sharif was convicted imprisonment in Al-Aziai reference and he appealed IHC to review the verdict and meanwhile he should be granted bail for interim relief.

However, Nawaz was acquitted of all charges in Flagship cases due to insufficient evidence against him.
