Jeep slips into deep gorge; three killed, five injured.

Muzzafarabad: Three people were killed and five are severely injured as jeep slips down into deep gorge in Neelum Valley.

Deputy Commissioner Neelum, Shahid Mehmood briefed media that ravine was really deep. As a result three people were killed while five sustained injuries.  Medical facility was provided to the injured at the earliest.

“The appalling incident took place, when the jeep was taking turn near Keel, area of  Neelum Valley”, said Deputy Commissioner.

A similar road crash occurred on Kora Karam highway where 17 people were killed as passenger coach plunged into deep gorge.

The coach was heading to Rawalpindi from Gilgit-Baltistan when the driver lost the control and its skid-off and fell into the deep ravine.

Police, rescue officials and locals helped in shifting bodies and injured to hospital. Rescue teams were informed as they readily showed up.
