Karachi police launches mobile app to help citizens

Karachi: Karachi police on Monday launched a mobile app ‘Police 4 U’ to provide immediate support to the citizens right away.

While addressing in the app launching ceremony, Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Karachi, Dr Ameer Ahmed Sheikh expressed that people won’t have to wait long to file their complaints . It has been made easier with the help of the new mobile application.

He said that they wanted change the old ‘Thana culture’ and people striving to get their FIR filed with extreme difficulties. This application has made it easier and will help citizens lodge their complaints as soon as it happens, and they will all be dealt as soon as possible.

The officer also assured that one more application will be launched with then purpose to lodge complains against the police officials who are deliberately not helping citizens .

He said that there is another quick way to report complaints i.e WhatsApp number 03177116601. Also, the mobile application can be downloaded from Google App Playstore and can be easily used.

Earlier,  Khyber Pahtunkhwa (KP) police had launch mobile application to control crimes in the previous year and the overwhelming response from the people made its success possible.
