KP govt to stop the use of crystal meth

Provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa is trying to alter Drug Control Act 1997. The new proposition is to sentence drug distributors to 7 years jail and a fine of half a million.

Information Minister Shaukar Yousafzai stated that use of  ‘ice’ is increasing in kids. It is estimated that around 10,000 students are involved in its use.

However, minister remarked that this law should be enforced as early as possible.

The local name of this crystal is ‘speed’.It is similar to ice and the crystal is called methamphetamines.

it can be taken into many forms such as direct swallowing, smelling, snorting and injecting.
