Malala Yousafzai gets Harvard award

London: In the recognition for promoting girls education, Nobel Prize Winner, Malala Yousafzai, is set to be honoured by Harvard University.

Harvard’s Kennedy School says Malala will be awarded the 2018 Gleitsman Award says Harvard Kennedy School. The ceremony is expected to take place on December 6.

Malala has the privilege to become the youngest Nobel Peace Prize winner in 2014. She was awarded  the prize in recognition of her global efforts to support schooling for all children in the remote areas of Swat.

She is also expected to speak at a special event in Edinburgh towards the end of this year.

Reports say that Malala Yousafzai will speak to the participants of Sleep on the park in December in the Social bite event.

Malala was shifted from Pakistan to a hospital in Birmingham after she sustained a bullet in her head by militants.

Earlier in March, Malala returned to Pakistan for the first time after she left surviving from the attack.
