PM orders probe against existing gas crisis in Sindh

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered initiation of an immediate inquiry against heads of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) for their failure to meet the demands of consumers and sought complete report within 72 hours.

Imran Khan said that government promised to make sure that there will be no gas load shedding this year and the is apparently no reason behind the gas disappearance for indefinite period of time.

While chairing a high-level meeting on Wednesday , he questioned about the crisis in Sindh and took strict actions against the SSGCL must be taken.

The prime minister had also ordered a formation of a fact-finding and probing committee in this regard. The committee is to hold an inquiry against the MD SNGPL and MD SSGCL. The report of the committee is to be submitted in 72 hours.
