Lahore: A resolution was submitted to Speaker Punjab Assembly today that requested to dismiss the MPA ship of PM-N’s leader over his controversial statement.
PML-N leader Rana Mashood is a member of provincial assembly and in an interview, he stated controversial words. It should be noted that PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice on this statement an cleared that his stance has nothing to do with how party envisages provincial government and the statement made is in a personal capacity.
A resolution was submitted today by assembly members demanding to disapprove his membership in the provincial assembly. Sources say that demand seeking suspension is submitted by Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf’s lawmaker.
The controversy traces back to an interview that PML-N leader gave to a private TV channel where he was asked that the civil-military tensions existed in previous government, do they exist now? To which he blatantly replied no.
Also during another interview, he talked about the Punjab Government that it will crumble in two months and our party will be replaced by it.
Director General Inter Services Public Relations(ISPR) Maj. Gen. Asif Ghafoor labelled that statement a baseless and insensible.
Rana Mashood’s statement is simply arrogant and he is underestimating the Government that exist today.
