Finance Minister Asad Umar informed on Thursday about the new investment that will soon hit Pakistan and is likely to come from Saudi Arabia. “The biggest foreign investment in Pakistan history”, Asad Umar stated during talks with media.
“The ball is in our court. We have to get cabinet approval next week, after which an announcement will be made,” he mentioned this during his recent address in Islamabad.
He further told that he keeps receiving messages from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman to hurry up and make a conclusive plan.
While responding to one of the question of the news correspondent, “When will you jail the thieves? This is the demand of the people of Pakistan,” he told.
Umar Asad replied, that recently he attended dinner in Karachi with members of business and corporate sector. One of the person there advised me to tell Imran Khan not to rant about the inherited problems and corruption instead take practical step to control this situation.
He further said, “It’s a challenge, it’s a double-edged sword. You’ve made a commitment for bringing accountability into society, which demands that if a pickpocket goes to jail for stealing, so does the person who loots the public. It is the leadership’s responsibility to ensure that such a situation is not created, that a negative outlook does not prevail.”
