Sindh sets up helpline for missing and kidnapping of children

Karachi: The Provincial government of Sindh has decided tackle the rising incidents of missing of children and therefore established a Child helpline.

Helpline 1121 will work 24/7 to receive the complaints regarding the child kidnapping and missing children incidents. The helpline will directly work under the provincial government Social Welfare Department to help people find and recover their lost or kidnapped children.

Social welfare department will work collaboratively with the NGOs that are related to child protection.

At district level the established Child Protection committee will be run by the deputy commissioner.

Child incidents can also be reported in this helpline 1121 and immediate actions will be taken to halt it.

Public awareness campaigns will also be launched by the social welfare and stress will be given on raising child in protection.

Sindh High Court has recently called upon Federal Investigation Agency regarding the whereabouts of 20 missing children on Dec 20 with the complete record.
