Islamabad: Ministry of Human Rights has launched free legal aid for the women’s right of inheritance.
Ministry statement says that awareness campaign will educate women about their inheritance rights. This is to assist women whop face difficulties regarding their right to inheritance.
“The incumbent government is committed to fulfillment of this fundamental right enshrined in Islamic jurisprudence and Constitution of Pakistan,” reads the statement issued by ministry.
A helpline will be launched by ministry of Human rights to help listen the complaints of the women who struggle to get their rights.
Women across the country can now call on Ministry of Human Rights’ helpline — 1099 or telephone number 051-9221700. with this the govt is helping women acquire their rights and know the procedure.
Shireen Mazari, Federal Minister for Human rights on October 12 announced that soon Gov would launch a campaign to help women assist about legal matters.
Shireen Mazari, while showing her commitment to ensure the protection of rights of every citizen without any discrimination, had said that the government was committed to protect the human rights including the rights of minorities and women.
Federal Minister Human rights vowed to protect human rights irrespective of any kind of discrimination. She says, she would commit forever to protect women rights who are usually considered weak in male-dominated society.
