Islamabad: Terror incidents in Pakistan decreased by 13% during the year 2019.
Most terrorist incidents were restricted to Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to the Annual Security Report released by the Pakistan Institute for Peace Studies (PIPS), the death toll from terrorism has decreased by 40% in 2019 compared to 2018, with 4 suicide attacks this year.

A total of 357 deaths were reported. In Baluchistan, 171 people were killed in terrorism. The lowest number of incidents took place in Punjab, where a total of 5 incidents took place, the report said. A comprehensive way of putting and monitoring the National Action Plan in an active and integrated plan to tackle future terrorism is the need of the hour, the report suggested.
