Multan: At least 35 people were wounded when an over-speeding bus hit a roadside curb and overturned near the Vehari Road near Multan on Monday night.
Sources informed that bus was heading to Multan from Kasur and on the way it skidded off the road and the vehicle lost its control while saving a motorcyclists near tree, it immediately over-turned and hit the roadside.
As a result, 35 passengers were heavily wounded and immediately taken to hospital.
As soon as the accident occurred, police and rescue teams reached the spot, the passengers were immediately taken off the bus and shifted to Nishtar Hospital Multan. Hospital management informed that ten passengers are in critical condition.
On January 22, a similar accident occurred in Lasbela Baluchistan where the lives of 28 people were claimed during the horrible accident.
The mishap occurred near the Bella cross where the bus caught fire and smashed into upcoming truck. At least 25 passengers were killed, including children and women. The was heading to Panjgu from Karachi.
Balochistan CM Jam Kamal Khan greatly condemned the incident and expressed grief over the mishap.
During the course of one month, as many as 4 deadly accidents have taken place that have killed more than fifty people and injured around 100, which is a huge ration.
