AIG Amir Shaikh plans for joint efforts to resolve aggravating traffic issues

Karachi: Additional Inspector General Police Dr Amir Shaikh has called for the joint efforts to resolve traffic issues of the metropolitan.

“The traffic related problems can be resolved if eight to nine concerned departments were start acting efficiently,” Karachi Police Chief Amir Shaikh mentioned while talking to journalists

Mr. Amir Sheikh said that number plate and driving license are extremely important  for the traffic enforcement in any country sadly 60-70% of the people of the metropolitan don’t even own the valid driving license.

He mentioned that provincial government to add traffic subject in the syllabus to create awareness among th people of the province about the worsening traffic conditions and public unawareness towards the matter.

While throwing light on the importance of wearing helmet by the motorists, AIG said that when he tried to put the rule, he was blamed for owning a helmet factory. He said that people think its my benefit, but in real its their.

“Number of causalities is high in the road accidents as compared to one in the terrorism incidents,” he clearly stated.

Chairmanship of Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shallwani on Sunday organized a meeting where it was decided that traffic issue will be resolved mutually by setting up six districts.
