ANF captured drugs worth over Rs1.6bn, five suspects arrested

Islamabad: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) captured 1995.475 kilograms drugs amounting to 1.684 billion rupees throughout the country.

Press release told that, the ANF apprehended five culprits and recovered three vehicles while conducting seven counter-narcotic strikes on different places.

The ANF also foiled a smuggling plan of drug abroad on January 22.

ANF officials told a man was arrested and captured along with 798 grams of ice heroin worth millions of rupees, at Islamabad International Airport.

“The narcotics were concealed in three containers at the port, due to be smuggled abroad,” a spokesperson of the ANF officials said about the raid.

The law enforcement agency officials took the drugs in its custody, the drugs were hidden in the shoes of accused Rashid Khan, who was going Dubai by flight number AK 615.

The recovered drugs were worth Rs 500 million include 35 kilograms of high quality heroin and the 52kg of hashish.
