Army chief attends funeral prayer of soldiers martyred in Quetta blast

QUETTA: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Sunday arrived in Quetta and attended funeral prayer of army personnel martyred in a suicide bomb blast in the city yesterday.

According to ISPR, Governor and Chief Minister Balochistan, Interior Minister and Commander Southern Command also attended the funeral.

The Army Chief also visited CMH hospital Quetta and inquired after the health of injured.

Speaking on the occasion, General Qamar Javed Bajwa vowed to continue war against terrorism till restoration of durable peace and stability in the country.

He stressed the need for coordinated efforts among all state institutions to completely root out the menace of terrorism.

Army Chief said our martyrs have scarified their lives for peaceful and prosperous Pakistan. – APP
