ATC accuses MQM hitman in Pervez Mehmood murder case

Karachi: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) blamed a man alleged to be target killer of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in murder case of Dr Pervez Mehmood, a former Town Nazim of Liaquatabad  affiliated with the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI).

Jail management brought the accused Masood Ali alias Kala before the court. The culprit refused any allegation on him. Court has called witnesses for further investigation regarding this case.

ATC also ordered to started process to declare the accused in the case as wanted. The fugitives also included erstwhile MQM  joint sector in-charge Rehan, Imran Ejaz Niazi, Tahir Qadiani, Zubair alias Pappa, Asif Alto, Faizan Ilyas, Sameer Nai, Shakeel Mota and Abdul Rehman.

Police informed that Masood who is also known as Kala was a member of the MQM killer team. During his investigation he admitted to killing Pervez Mehmood.

The accused confessed that he murdered JI’s former town Nazim of Liaquatabad on the orders of the in-charge Tanzeemi Committee Hammad Siddiqui of that time.

The hearing of this case has been dismissed till February 7.
