Karachi: The federal cabinet meeting reviewed the list of 172 people recently added to the Exit Control List (ECL) in connection to money laundering case and decided not to remove the names from the list.
The Cabinet meeting was led by Prime Minister Imran Khan and discussed the issue of placing 172 names on the Exit Control List (ECL) and decided that no name will be removed no-fly list at immediate basis.
Each name will be looked into and then removed gradually according to their role and it will be decided that what to do with it. Interior Minister of State Sheharyar Afridi and the legal experts talked about this issue with the cabinet members.
The list comprises of big names such as the former president Asif Ali Zardari, PPP’s politician Faryal Taplur, PPPs chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and businessmen who allied with the Pakistan People’s Party.
Earlier this week, Supreme Court directed the Federal cabinet to review its decision of putting 172 names on the list pertaining to mega money laundering case.
