CM Buzdar orders crackdown on profiteers, hoarders

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday ordered that immediate crackdown should be launched against profiteers and herders across the province to overcome the artificial.

CM Usman Buzdar presided a high-level meeting to start a large scale operation against profiteer and hoarders. This is done to ensure that the price of essential items should be reasonable.

He said that the artificial price hike is caused by the unnecessary hoarding and profit making, we want to make sure that all the things are available at cheap prices.

The chief minister directed to re-activate the district price control committees after their reconstitution and improvement in policies, told the CM’s spokesperson. It was also decided that public representation as well as civil committee members will be present in the committee.

He ordered that directed that suo-moto action will be taken against hoarders and powerful measures should be devised to stabilize the prices of basic necessities.

Usman Buzdar urged Deputy Commissioners to look closely in this matter and keep check and balance on prices of different items. He said that performance will be analzed in all districts, the people who are performing satisfactory will be rewarded while the ones who performed below average will be held accountable.
