COAS warns youth against militant outfits active on social media

RAWALPINDI: Chief Of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday warned the youth against the influence of banned militant outfits on social media. 

Students from FATA and all over Pakistan attended the internship program offered by ISPR. Upon its successful completion, the army chief met with students who participated in the event.

“Daesh and its supporters’ main targets are the literate youth,” he said. “Be very alert and aware on social media,” he added.

He urged students not to seek a shortcut for success but rather have belief in themselves. The army chief stated that every Pakistani was a soldier in Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.

Gen. Bajwa said that Pakistan Army had the capability to deal with the internal and external security threats that Pakistan was facing.

“Pakistan Army will give the new generation a secure, peaceful and stable Pakistan,” he said.

On the other hand, student termed their visit a learning experience and said that by interacting with Pakistan Army, they learned a lot.
