CTD arrests suicide bomber, TTP commander in Karachi

Karachi: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed to have arrested a suicide bomber on Tuesday and a commander of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during separate raids in Karachi.

DIG CTD Sheikh Abdullah said that they conducted a raid on tip-off and apprehended Rehman alias ‘Ustad Gi’ a commander of banned TTP in Karachi.  He also told that heavy ammunitions and explosives were also recovered from his possession.

He mentioned that Rehman had replaced TTP commander  Sher Bahadur after his murder. The Counter Terrorism Department officer also claimed that the Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan commander has been planning a terrorism show for a while now.

In another raid conducted by CTD of police, a suicide bomber was arrested in Karachi. DIG Abdullah said that the names of terrorists are also included in police’s red book.

Sindh police previously on December 21, expressed that two terrorists have banned Tehrek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and took weapons from their custody in Karachi.
