Dior has dragged its latest advertisement, including Johnny Depp, after charges of traditional seizure and racism.
The French luxury brand came under fire for endorsing its perfume Sauvage, when it released a teaser on social media, last week.
The tweet, since been removed, read, “A true journey deep into the Native American soul in a sacred, founding and secular land”.
A video released later presented the American actor walking between rocks in the wilds and watching a war dance. The ad faced criticism for conventional images and culture seizure of Native Americans and for the name “Sauvage” sounding similar to the word “savage”.
