Electricity supply in Sindh and Punjab affected as Guddu power plant trips

Unannounced load shedding has begun in almost all the areas of Sindh and Punjab due to the tripping of Guddu Power Plant.

Three units at the Guddu Thermal Power Plant have been tripped near Kashmore in Sindh on Thursday due to the intense fog.

As a result this tripping, the distribution of electricity in various areas of Punjab and Sindh are badly effected,

Daily routines of people are disturbed due to excessive shortage of electricity.

This means that there is a 747 megawatt power shortage and the repairing of the tripping units is still going on.
