A viral video titled ‘Soleimani’s wonderful end’ on social media, which was claimed to be a video of a US drone attack on Iranian general Qasem Soleimani last Friday was actually taken from a video game.
Indian journalist Mina Das Narayan shared the video with the title “A brilliant video of Suleimani’s end.”
As the Indian journalist shared this video, soon his followers and twitter users started sharing this video on social media and some praises the modern technology of American.
However, shortly after, users on social media started identifying this video as ‘fake’. Mina Das hasn’t deleted that tweeted yet.
In fact, the video is from a video game ‘A130 Gunship Simulator’ that was shared on March 25, 2015, by the account of Byte Convener, a video game company on YouTube.
‘In this video it can be seen that 6 vehicles were hit by missiles, some trying to escape but were caught in the gunfire.’
The interesting thing about this video is that on the right corner of the video it was written that the video is currently in the editing phase.
Last week, Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan also shared a video which he associates to Indian police.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had posted a video in his tweet in which he claimed that Indian police were beating up Muslims in Uttar Pradesh.
The video was actually a riot in Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka about 6 years ago, in which a Rapid Action Battalion of Bangladesh charged the protesters in the presence of media persons.
