Faisalabad: CTD kills two terrorists involved in kidnapping ex-PM’s son

Faisalabad: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has killed two terrorists of a banned apparel company during exchange of firing in Faisalabad.

The Counter Terrorism department conducted an operation, when the terrorist sensed the danger they opened fire on the law enforcement personnel. In the exchange of firing two terrorists were killed.

The terrorists killed in were later identified as Adeel Hafeez and Usman Haroon and who lived in Faisalabad in a rented house. They were planning to carry out a massive attack on security personnel of the city.

The CTD department also told that these dead tourist were also involved in killing security agency officers in Multan and kidnapping US officials Warren Weinstein and former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani’s son Ali Haider Gilani.

A suicide vest, hand grenades, ammunition and other arms were also recovered from their rented house.

The suspects, connected with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), had planned to target sensitive installations in the city, said a CTD official.

Three kilograms of explosive material and two detonators were found from their custody.
