Karachi: on Friday Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and MNA Faryal Talpur’s legal team objected to the submission of a JIT findings on fake bank accounts in the Sindh High Court (SHC).
The high court bench was led by Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, he herd the case seeking disqualification of the PPP leader for not showing her UAE based Iqama in her assets she declared before the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
The petitioner showed up before the court and said that JIT report has showed Ms Talpur siphoned off billions of rupees abroad using the names of other people. “Faryal Talpur sent money abroad through illegal transactions,” he alleged.
The petitioner said that PPP MNA failed to showed her UAE work permit which is also counted as a an asset.
“JIT report shouldn’t be brought into discussion here,” Farooq H Naek said objecting to the counsel’s arguments while representing PPP leaders. “The document which has been clipped with the petition should be discussed only.”
At this, Justice Mazhar questioned as to why the JIT report couldn’t be discussed here? “We will decide the case as per laws,” he asserted.
The hearing was dismissed till Feb 1 and the petitioner’s lawyer will start from where he left off today.
