ISLAMABAD: Federal Cabinet has approved to adding of Vice President of PML-N to Maryam Nawaz name in the Exit Control List (ECL) in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
A meeting of federal cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan has held in which the situation of the region including the overall situation of the country was discussed.
According to sources, during the meeting, the Prime Minister took cabinet members into confidence in Pakistan’s position on the situation in the Middle East.
Sources said that the cabinet subcommittee for the ECL had recommended to include Maryam Nawaz’s name in the ECL in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case, which the cabinet approved.
It is pertinent to mention that after the suspension of sentence in the Avenfield Reference, Maryam Nawaz has approached the Lahore High Court to withdraw her name from the ECL in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
The Lahore High Court will hear the Maryam Nawaz plea in ECL case on January 15.
