Federal Cabinet approves amending the Army Act

Army Act was approved in an emergency meeting of the Federal Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

According to sources, an emergency meeting of the federal cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan, was held in the Prime Minister‘s House, in which cabinet members, as well as important personalities, attended the meeting.




According to sources, the one-point agenda was under consideration in the emergency meeting of the Federal Cabinet.

Sources said that the Federal Cabinet has approved the amendment of the Army Act in light of Supreme Court orders.

Prime Minister Imran Khan also presided over a federal cabinet meeting yesterday which discussed the 9-point agenda.



Later during the press conference, Special Assistant to Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan said during the press conference that the Federal Cabinet had approved the NAB Amendment Ordinance.

It should be remembered that the Supreme Court had on November 28 extended a conditional extension of 6 months to the post of Army Chief and ordered Parliament to legislate in this regard.
