First case of swine flu reported in 2019

Islamabad: First swine flu case in year 2019 was reported in Islamabad, where a 27-year old Fahad Shah has been diagnosed with the virus.

Sources informed that on January 10, a resident of Rawalpindi who lived in Gulzar Quaid area named, Fahad Shah is tested positive for Swine Flu, in a private hospital in the Capital.

Fahad is the first victim of swine flu, reported in Islamabad. Doctors have shifted him to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

“His condition is said to be critical and has been put on the ventilator,” hospital staff told the news correspondent.

H1N1 flu is also known as swine flu. It’s called swine flu because previously the people who caught it through direct contact developed it. That changed years back, when a new virus of this sort came out.
