Karachi: Police have arrested four pseudo policemen on Friday, who were involved in looting people visiting city’s sea side.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Clifton Suhai Aziz told that police deployed at Seaview check post held four persons who posed themselves as policemen.
“The arrested including two volunteers of Police were involved in taking extortion money from the people visiting the sea side of the metropolis, especially the couples,” ASP said.
The fake policemen were later identified as, Ramzan, Adnan, Shershah and Adnan Ameen. They were dressed up in police uniform and were involved in harassing and looting the couples at Seaview.
Things such as pistol, vehicle and mobile phones have also been taken from the custody of the arrested fake policemen, told ASP Suhai.
Earlier in November, 2018, Pakistan Rangers Sindh arrested a man who pretended to be an army officer.
