Gas blast resulted in the death of four people in Balochistan coalmine

Quetta: Four coal miners died while one injured in gas explosion in a coalmine in Balochistan’s Chamalang area on Wednesday morning.

Local officials told, the incident took place in the Chamalang coal-mine area where the gas blast occurred and four miners were killed and one critically injured.

The officials told that dead bodies and injured miners has been taken to Quetta hospital.

People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto expressed his condolence and sympathy with the families of deceased miners. Bilawal said that these gas blasts occur as a result of administrative mismanagement. these deadly incidents can only be stopped by improving the working conditions of the miners.

The coal miners association in Balochistan previously complained about the improper safety of miners and the flaws in management.

Under the Mines Act, 1923 some regulations state that the labour safety is essential and to establish labour welfare regime their rights must be granted.
