Governor Sindh meets Chief Justice: donates for Dam fund

Islamabad: Sindh Governor Imran Ismail met Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar in Islamabad on Tuesday. He presented a cheque of Rs673.791 million as donation for the dams’ fund to CJP.

Imran Ismail told that the amount was collected during a recent fundraising dinner that was held at Governor house Karachi.

The cheque was presented he Governor Sindh met Chief Justice of Pakistan yesterday. He discussed the situation of Karachi extensively.

So far over 7.60 billion Rupees have been collected through various resources for Diamer Basha and Mohmand Dams Fund. Foreign remittances have also contributed a lot in the dam fund.

The latest figure is posted on website as 7.60 billion, which is almost half of  the amount.

The fund was established by SBP on the orders of Supreme Court and Prime Minister Imran Khan.

All banks are receiving payments for the dam fund. Online payment, cheque, pay order, drafts and cash donations are accepted in the country wide banks.
