Islamabad:After much talks and negotiations the government and the right-wing parties protesting against the Aasia Bibi verdict in a blasphemy case have reached an agreement.
The protesters have agreed to stop the demonstration cross Pakistan If the Govt agrees to their points.
Agreement says, a review appeal filed in the case of Aasia Bibi is a legal right of the complainants and government will have to agree with it.
In addition to that, they want serious efforts to be made to place the name of Aasia bibi on the Exit Control List (ECL) and protesters taken into custody by law enforcers from Oct 30 on-wards will be released forthwith.
Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sahibzada Dr Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, provincial law minister Raja Basharat and Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) leaders Pir Afzal Qadri and Muhammad Waheed Noor signed the agreement paper.
Schools and colleges remained closed today while mobile phone services were also suspended in several cities throughout the day.
