Islamabad: International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation led by Harald Finger met with Finance Minister Asad Umar and shared its initial working on various sectors of the economy on Tuesday.
Press statement released from ministry briefed the delegation about PTI government’s vision on the economic perspective.
Asad Umer has said that measures are being taken to improve the economic situation of Pakistan. He talked about IMF that govt is working to devise plan regarding wide spectrum of development series. Institutional reforms and infrastructure of organizations is to be improved.
He further said that we are working to help poor and vulnerable of the society and upbringing their socio-economic uplift of the human development.
PTI govt is focusing on starting domestic industry within Pakistan. Govt has prioritized enhancing exports and attracting foreign investments.
He looked forward to have IMF package that will further support economy and aim to fulfill visionary economic reforms.
The meeting was also attended by Tariq Bajwa Governor of State Bank and other officials.
