Imran Khan addressed the Federal cabinet meeting today

Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan convened a cabinet meeting on Thursday (today) and discussed a 20-point agenda and peace process with Afghanistan.

During the federal cabinet session Imran khan stated that country has always played its part in bringing peace and stability in war-torn area of Afghanistan.

He remarked: “Pakistan is playing its role, instead of doing more we wanted a political settlement in Afghanistan.”

He also talked about Yemen issue and said that we will always try our best to play positive role to bring peace in the region and Muslim countries. He also directed that we must make efforts to create peace process in Yemen. In this regard he met Irani Foreign Minister and acquired help from Saudi Arabia.

While talking about Kartarpur corridor he said, “Unfortunately in India it is considered as a political move, but the Response from the Sikhs is amazing. Kartarpur to Sikh Community is what Medina to Muslim community and it is PTI’s manifesto to promote ease for the minor communities.”

While applauding the role of Finance and planning Ministry he commented that Pakistan inherited a crushing economy with some immediate payments to be delivered, the fiscal policies had to be designed in a way to tackle these issues on immediate basis.

The role of Finance department is very crucial they had to take certain hard steps. New taxes had to be levied, prices were increased but it’s for the short time. He also talked about various companies such as Suziki, Coca-Coal, Pepsi and many other multi-million dollar companies who have planned to invest in Pakistan in future.

He stated that foreign investment uplifts any country and provides employment to the people. We are making serious efforts to increase the investment and provide appropriate conditions to the investors.
