Lahore: A lawyer’s delegation comprising of 32 Indian lawyers called on Acting Governor Punjab Pervez Elahi on Friday bilateral issues were discussed.
Punjab Governor Pervez Elahi, stressed upon holding talks between India and Pakistan during the meeting that was held with the delegation.
Pervaiz Elahi said that after Imran khan assumed the office the first thing he did was to improve relations with the neighbouring countries and offered India to come over for talks over the long-standing issues between India and Pakistan.
“Probably, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not respond positively because of the upcoming elections,” he expressed.
The acting governor mentioned that Pakistan wanted peaceful relations with all the neighbouring countries including India.
He also shared that newly-formed government has already begun the journey of peace and harmony by opening the Kartarpur corridor.
While talking about the friendship bus service from Amritsar to Lahore, Pervez Elahi said Pakistan constructed a first-class two-way road from Wagah Border to Nankana Sahib with the intention to facilitate all the people that will enter into Pakistan.
Indian counsels at this occasion told that India will talk about improving the relations with Pakistan.
A senior lawyer said, “We are taking back pleasant memories and message of love with us from Pakistan”.
