Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to his people to turn off all the house lights at 9 pm on April 5 to defeat the Coronavirus.
Addressing the nation, Narendra Modi requested the people to give him 9 minutes at 9 pm on Sunday, April 5, by lighting candles or mobile flashlight to show that they are fighting with Coronavirus.
He said that “when everyone lights a lamp all around, Corona will feel the power of light because we are all fighting for the same purpose.”
He said the government, the administration and the people have worked hard to make Lockdown a success, which is an example for the world.

It may be recalled that a lockdown was announced in India for 3 weeks, which has left many people unemployed.
The lockdown, which ended April 14, has helped to ameliorate the outbreak but has adversely affected the Indian economy, which has stagnated and left millions unemployed.
So far in India, there have been 2069 Coronavirus cases in which 53 people have been killed.
