Iran: 35 killed during General Qasem Soleimani’s funeral

At least 35 people killed and 48 wounded due to a Stampede in General Qasem Soleimani funeral, who was killed in the US attack, his burial ceremony was going on his home town Kerman (Iran).

According to a report by the US news agency Associated Press (AP), Iran’s state-owned broadcasting agency said that a procession broke out in Kerman, the hometown of General Qasem Soleimani.

A large number of people, dressed in black in Kerman, also gathered to pay tribute to him on Tuesday, according to scenes shown on Iranian state TV after millions attended their funeral Monday in the capital Tehran.

According to Iranian state TV, millions attended the funeral of Qasim Sulaimani in Kerman.

Attendees of the funeral procession took pictures of the Iranian flag and Qasem Soleimani and shouted ‘Death to America‘.

Qasem Soleimani was a national hero in Iran and was considered the most powerful figure in the country after Ayatollah Khamenei.

US President Donald Trump has ordered the death of Qasem Soleimani, while Iran has said he will avenge his general’s death. Iran has withdrawn himself from the 2015 World Nuclear Treaty following the attack and has begun enriching uranium.
