Iran is responsible for 78% coronavirus cases in Pakistan: Health Minister of Pakistan

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Health Dr Zafar Mirza says 78% of the total cases so far in Pakistan were from Iran.

Talking to media in Islamabad, he said there were more than 3 lakh cases of Coronavirus case in 195 countries, of which more than 1 lakh have recovered.

He said that the total number of cases in Pakistan at present is 892 out of which 89 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.

Dr Zafar Mirza said that “study has revealed that 63% of the cases are male and 37% female, while 78% of the total cases were from Iran.”

“So far 6 patients have recovered from the coronavirus, while only 5 of the patients under treatment are in critical condition,” he said.

He thanked those in the health sector, saying that “healthcare professionals will do everything possible to protect the nation and we will do our best to train them”.
