Japanese-Pakistan Navy conduct maritime self defence drills together

Karachi: Japanese Navy ships arrived at Karachi port on Thursday to take part in bilateral maritime self defence exercise.

Press release told that a reception was hosted by Pakistan Navy and arranged Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF) ships at Karachi Port where Pakisatn and Japanese Navy unitedly participated.

The Pakistan Navy and JMSDF have a history of friendly relations, “in this backdrop, JMSDF ship IKAZUCHI reached Karachi for two days port visit to take part Pre-AMAN activities,” the press release read.

Number of sports and leisure activities were conducted following the sea exercises between Pakistan Navy and JMSDF ships.

the drills covered wide range of Naval operations and enhanced collaborative efforts between the exercise of two navies in the region.

The Navy official said, the visit of JMSDF ship to Pakisatn is to mark the increased collaboration.

“Pakistan and Japanese navies have been participating in Maritime Security Operations for a long time and conducting sea exercises at various occasions.” the Navy’s spokespersontold.
