In the wake of Coronavirus epidemic, Thailand’s controversial King Maha Vajiralongkorn has gone into self-isolation with his army of employees and harem of beautiful royal girlfriends in a Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl in Bavaria Germany.
The German newspaper Bild reports that the 67-year-old king’s army includes several servants, as well as a ‘harem’ consisting of 20 women.
However, it is unclear whether the king’s four wives are also staying in the hotel.
All guest houses and hotels in the region were ordered to close due to the coronavirus crisis, but a local district council spokeswoman said Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl was exempted from the ban because of the guests belonging to the same group.
However, 119 members of the delegation were reportedly sent back to Thailand to be diagnosed with this highly contagious disease.
The news of the king’s self-isolation in this luxurious place triggered a wave of anger among thousands of Thais who criticized online and risked breaking the country’s laws. Criticism of the royal family in the country is considered a serious betrayal.
Under imperial laws, a person who insults or criticizes the monarchy can be imprisoned for up to 15 years.
It should be noted that the Thai Ministry of Health announced 109 new cases in the country on Saturday, bringing the total number of victims to 1,245 in the country.
