Lahore: Famous film, television and stage artist Ali Ejaz passed away on Tuesday at the age of 77.
The renowned actor suffered from paralysis about 12 years ago, and spent his last years in pitiful condition, however he died due to cardiac arrest.
Ali Ejaz was always known for his classic roles in Plays such as “Khawaja and Son”, “Shab Daig” and “Khoji”. Ali Ejaz was ranked among the finest actors of the time and played important role in the golden era of state-run Pakistan Television.
Ejaz started his Film career at a very young age in 1961 and was first starred in the Lollywood Film named “Insaniyat.” His famous movies are “Sala Sahab” and “Dubai Chalo” while “Khawaja and Son” was not only his most watched TV show but also one of the best TV shows PTV aired on.
His movies that were released during the era of 80’s created immense business and he was often remembered as “Punjabi superstar.”
He was also honoured with the prestigious Presidential Pride of Performance award in 1993 because of his services to Film and TV industry.
