LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) will mean hearing on request looking for bail of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice-premier Maryam Nawaz in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case today (Wednesday).
According to facts, a two-member bench will hear the request.
Previously, Lahore High Court had suspended the hearing on the appeal of the National Accountability Bureau‘s (NAB) Lahore director-general.
Responding to NAB’s plea, Maryam Nawaz’s lawyer said the court had not delivered an announcement to anti-corruption watchdog’s Director General and that we can easily brief the case in this trial.
However, Justice Ali Baqir suspended the proceedings, saying that the influences will be noted in the attendance of National Accountability Bureau counsel.
Earlier, NAB had succumbed initial investigative report to the LHC on Maryam Nawaz’s bail appeal, where the bureau had spoken fear that she might escape out of the country.
