Maleeha reminds UN of PM Imran initiative against religion defaming

Pakistan’s Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi  reinforced the United Nations (UN) about Prime Minister Imran Khan’s initiative against defamation of religions.

Maleeha Lodhi, Pakistan’s representative at UN while addressing the Eighth Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilization said, that Pakistani Prime Minister had made an announcement to counter Islamophobia and end the hatred against Muslims that is witnessed around the world.

He said that its simply religion defamation and an excuse to overlook the real reason of hatred and terror. These hate narratives must not rise around the world.

She stressed the significance of how islamophobia is linked with violence and terror. The hatred is being spread in the name of Islam and Muslims are termed negative people and looked down at around the globe.

The government of Pakistan has composed their stance effectively and come up to the United Nations and urged that these anti-Muslim feeling should be ended and Muslims should be respected around the world.

She said that Islam is the religion of Peace and serenity. We believe in tolerance and respect the rights of marginal Socio-economic classes.

We value peace, tolerance and unity. We focus on the principle of Humanity before religion intrudes in. Pakistani culture is very hospitable and our heritage is diverse. We believe to pull out together  and gain strength from diversity.

Ambassador Lodhi commented that rise of the ideas of Islamophobia is weakening our roots and making us prone to significantly irreplaceable loss.

She stated, “The complex task of peace-building”, she argued, “can only be accomplished when we collectively build on a common vision of a peaceful world, and adopt an inclusive approach to promote better understanding”.
