Winter bells with a long-awaited rain in capital of Punjab, According to Meteorological Department (Met) office rain with wind and thunderstorm is expected in various places of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Kot Momin, Toba Tek Singh, Safdarabad, Pindi Bhattian, Nowshera, Risalpur, Swabi, Malakand, Muzaffarabad , Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
Hail storm is also expected at a few places during the forecast period. Snowfall over high mountains is likely in Malakand Division and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The temperature of some major cities recorded on Friday morning:
Islamabad fourteen degree centigrade, Lahore nineteen, Karachi twenty-six, Peshawar seventeen, Quetta and Murree eight, Gilgit nine and Muzaffarabad fifteen degree centigrade.
The Met Office has also predicted that the westerly wave which is affecting upper parts of the country is likely to persist till Saturday. Furthermore, snowfall is forecasted in the mountain areas.
