Murad orders for proper construction and planning of infrastructure

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Communications Murad Saeed has said on Thursday that most of the roads constructed previously were unplanned and not proper.

Minister for Communications expressed his displeasure over the officials of ministry, while leading a meeting in Islamabad today.

He urged that proper planning must be carried out and feasibility reports be made before carrying out any practical work. He said that planning will be carried out at the PC-1 stage of any project for construction of roads to give all the relevant facilities.

Murad saeed also mentioned that government of the Pakistan Muslim League –Nawaz (PML-N) has left behind large number of massive ill-planned and incomplete projects of roads.

“The construction of roads needs a proper signal, communications and security system to provide secure and safe traveling facility to the commuters” he stated.

Murad Saeed also mentioned that around fourteen thousand police personnel are needed by the government to make under-construction roads motorable.

On December 17, Murad Saeed was sworn in as federal minister in a ceremony at the President House.
