NAB arrests ex-deputy commissioner Malir for illegal allotments

Karachi: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested former deputy commissioner of Malir, Qazi Jan Mohammad in a raid.

NAB spokesperson told, former deputy commissioner was found by NAB in illegal dealings over 27 plots of KDA Scheme 31 and 33.

The Deputy commissioner is accused f issuing fake documents and allotment orders when he had the in charge of Malir district, anti-corruption watchdog said.

NAB sources informed he issued fake papers of allotment of land of  Abdullah Shah Ghazi Goth. NAB said that many other government officials are also involved in this crime.

The land allotted is of worth Rs 2.5 million told the NAB officials.

He is also among the 172 officials whose name was placed on the exit control list (ECL) by the federal cabinet on December 28.
